About

Arthurine Wright, LPC , NCC

My professional journey began with a strong commitment to supporting individuals affected by challenging life experiences. As a former Army Commissioned Officer, I had the opportunity to assist young service members in achieving personal growth and healing through compassionate leadership and wisdom. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with clinical experience obtained through work in various mental health community agencies, day treatment facilities, and private practice settings with both individuals and groups. My services have included working with clients across a range of diagnoses—from mild to severe—as well as outreach crisis interventions, Christian counseling, life skills coaching, and supervision of interns. Additionally, I am an ordained and licensed minister of the Gospel. My areas of interest include addressing relational and spiritual challenges, providing military family consultation, treating depression, offering premarital counseling, exploring what’s behind Anger, and supporting grief and loss recovery.

Prior to counseling, I served in the United States Army during the Persian Gulf War/Desert Storm.  I obtained a Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling with an emphasis in Spirituality from Richmont Graduate University, Atlanta GA ( formerly Psychological Studies Institute). I also have a Master’s Degree in Management from Webster University, St. Louis, MO, and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Education from Saint Augustine’s University, Raleigh, NC.

My therapeutic approach is holistic and integrated, combining cognitive behavioral techniques with spiritual belief. I believe that the mind, body, and spirit are connected achieving oneness among them leads to ( the truth) wholeness and healing.
In my free time, I enjoy reading, cooking, spending quality time with my family and friends, exploring nature, bird watching, and gardening.
